20816 — Bethesda, MD

We bought in Bethesda about 7 years ago because the location worked even though the price was a stretch. Housing is not cheap anymore and that is probably the biggest downside. A lot of people seem settled here and it has more of a neighborhood feel than I expected. The work trip is manageable as long as I leave at the right time. The exact neighborhood still matters more than the town name.

I love this neighborhood in Bethesda. It is comfortable, convenient, and feels like home.

As a remote worker, I have liked being based in Bethesda for about a year even though it is not perfect. Getting to work is not terrible, but I would not call it effortless either. The access is the main reason I would choose this area, and the price is the main reason I might not. Cost is where I hesitate when people ask if I would recommend moving here.
